The Security Guards Couldn’t Believe Their Eyes After Seeing What Was Captured

Always the  seat belt 145. I think we got shots fired at the island.  These are footage from the body camera of an unknown police officer. What you’re about to see are recordings of some truly chilling events that happened on May 6th,  2023. All captured on his personal camera. And at the time he had no idea that fate was about to give him a chance to stop the plan of one of the most dangerous and  disturbed uncles and extremists in America.

It was 3:36 in the afternoon, a clear and calm spring day. People were out and about strolling, shopping, having lunch with loved ones, just enjoying the warm weather. But then out of nowhere, shots rang out over the Allen Premium outlets just outside Allen, Texas. Who the shooter was or what his motives were, officers had no clue at first.

All they knew was that an armed attacker was on the loose. And sadly, he managed to take the lives of several people. But let me tell you, this guy picked the absolute worst possible moment for his crime because the camera recording this footage belonged to a true hero. The deeper investigators dug into the shooter’s profile, the more horrified they became.

The guy had a dark, deeply disturbing history online. And honestly, this is one of the most shocking stories  I’ve ever covered. It’s right up there with cases like Elliot Roger and Randy Stair. Hey guys, welcome back to the Detective Mike channel. Today we’ve got a story packed with deception, betrayal, international fugitives, and coldblooded murder.

And before we dive in, do me a favor, subscribe to the channel, hit that like button, and share this video with a friend. Seriously, if you don’t, bad luck will apparently follow you for 10 days. Write in the comments if you believe in that. Okay. All right, let’s get started. Our story begins in the northeast part of Dallas, Texas.

With a population of about 1.3 million people, Dallas is one of the fastest growing cities in North America. It’s a major commercial and cultural hub known for defense, financial services, telecommunications, IT, and transportation. And kind of symbolically that ties right into our story because the main character worked as a security guard for several companies connected to those industries.

So let’s get right into it. Lucio Martinez Garcia was born to his mother Carmen Catalan on October 24th, 1989. He was born and raised in the United States. Along with his brother, he grew up in Texas and went to Brian Adams High School in Dallas. Right from the start, it’s worth noting Maritzio was a quiet, kind of low-key kid growing up.

He had a few friends, but nothing about him really stood out, and honestly, he didn’t cause any trouble. Reliable sources who knew him back then described Meritzio as a pretty silent, calm guy. Someone who barely said anything in class. Yeah, he was a bit socially awkward, but he still had friends, and around them, he could open up easily.

Back then, he seemed like a chill, non-confrontational teen. Unfortunately, things changed over the years. By the time he reached adulthood, he turned into a ruthless and radical person. As he got older, people started remembering him for all the wrong reasons. The older he got, the more isolated he felt, especially after failing what was basically his one big dream, joining the military.

Soon after graduating from Cass View High School, he enlisted in the army in June of 2008. But despite wanting to stay, he never completed basic training. Just 3 months in, he got discharged because of concerns over his mental health. Now, it’s important to point out this was an administrative discharge, and at the time, he hadn’t done anything wrong.

No criminal record, nothing like that. His reputation stayed clean. But that hit him hard. And over the next few years, his mental health just kept climbing. He pretty much withdrew from real life friendships and most of his social life moved online. And it’s online where you really start to see a different Mauricio, a young man diving deep into a dark, lonely, violent world. But, you know, it wasn’t all bad.

At first, he just seemed super lonely. He loved music, was a true fan, and would often travel across America to see his favorite bands, taking photos with them at public events. Even though he socialized at concerts and played sports, he felt really insecure around  women. He just didn’t know how to act and was way too shy.

Rumor had it Maritzio never had a sexual relationship, though that’s hard to confirm. We’ll circle back to that later. One thing’s clear, he openly called himself an  incel. And over the years, that identity became more and more prominent. After his army plans fell through, Maritzio started working as a security guard at a few different companies.

Advertisements

One of them was Ben E. Keith Foods where he worked as an operator and security specialist. He also worked elsewhere  getting official training in firearms. Now, if his employers had known the Army had kicked him out for mental health issues, he might never have gotten those jobs or the clearance to handle weapons. But since that info wasn’t in the National Instant Check System, officially everything looked legal.

And according to the paperwork, the Army followed protocol. His apartment, a tiny one room motel style place, was small but modestly set up. Even though it was cramped, he somehow fit all of his sports equipment inside. Got to give him credit, Maraio actually kept himself in pretty decent shape. But that’s also when he really started to spiral.

See, Maritzio was lonely, shut off with no goals or real ambition. But instead of looking for meaning or inner peace, he chose violence. He didn’t just dive head first into the incel ideology. He got into extremism, too. Over time, he became a guy filled with hatred toward women, Jews, and other minorities. And even though he himself was Mexican, he identified as a white supremacist.

Moritzio had an active profile on the Russian social network. Also known as Odno Classiki. That’s where under the username Psycho Vision 5, his true dark side really comes through. on that platform. He regularly posted shocking statements humiliating women, calling them baby making machines or sandwich making workers.

Some of his quotes included, I don’t care about finding a girlfriend. I still want sex, just not a girlfriend, he wrote. Because I no longer believe modern women can truly love a man. Yeah, men don’t have a right to sex. I get it. But then women don’t have the right to safety. If men can’t be the creators of society, they’ll become its destroyers.

And now society itself has to decide who will be. They’re overly protective, narrow-minded, controlling, tyrannical puritans, and they drive me insane every single time. Selfish manipulators who irritate me just because they know it’ll push me over the edge. Now, honestly, his posts included even more extreme and violent stuff, but for this video, I’m sticking to the more acceptable examples so we don’t get off track.

It’s also worth noting he had other accounts too on Facebook, Instagram, even here on YouTube. But because of his violent rhetoric, most of those pages were either suspended or permanently banned. A lot of people think this is exactly why he created a profile on the Russian social network. It’s barely moderated and well, it’s in a different language.

So, none of his friends would have ever thought to look for him there. It gave him a sense of anonymity. He used his page like a diary, posting photos, videos of his everyday life, and commenting on his thoughts, including his extremist ideas. His posts going back as far as 2014 detail daily events from trips to restaurants and metal concerts to visits to strip clubs, working in warehouses, and security jobs.

Hundreds of his diary entries went into painstaking detail about encounters with women from fast  food workers to nurses in hospitals. No matter who the woman was, he kept stressing how he tried to flirt with her. But looking at everything, it’s clear he never actually had any real relationships. Every single post is drenched in anger.

You could call it pure violent nihilism. His diary is basically one long raging  vent at the world and at women. He was obsessed with women. For example, in early 2017, he went to the same drive-thru almost every day just to talk to one worker at the window. And even  from his own posts, you can see that he was stalking her.

But in his mind, he was totally convinced she  was in love with him. Some of his entries are just terrifying to read. And yeah, you could maybe feel a tiny bit of sympathy for a lonely guy, but at the same time, he was  an incredibly strange and disturbing character. In one post, he described almost falling down a flight of stairs  and a woman nearby grabbed his hand to save him.

After that, he declared he had fallen in love with her. And when he got home, he admitted in his diary he masturbated thinking about that moment. In another post, he wrote about his love for Crystal, a woman who had literally just called him to sell life insurance. He was obsessed with her voice and kindness, but in reality, she was just a normal call center operator.

Maritzio dedicated over 30 pages to a miserable accident where he lost a toe. And even in those entries, he couldn’t stop writing about the beautiful nurse he met at the hospital that day. The nurses who saved his life were referred to as his loved ones in his diary. And he even admitted he ruined things with one of them by being way too pushy, asking to see her face again.

A lot of his posts are simply impossible to quote. Some are so vile they can’t be reproduced, not even in part. He also wrote about his own mental state, mentioning that he’d been discharged from the army under paragraph 5,117. If you break that down, this basically means a soldier can be discharged due to a physical or mental condition, not necessarily a disability that seriously interferes with their ability to perform duties and function in the military environment.

This paragraph had nothing to do with his tattoos, by the way, one of which featured the number 106. It became like his personal symbol, almost a signature. From his posts, we know he chose that number because of the price tag, 10 to six on the Mad Hatter’s hat in Alice in Wonderland. Speaking of Alice, there’s plenty of evidence Meritzia was probably a furry.

His many drawings of foxes, wolves, and other animals show that in his writings, he often mentioned that his alter ego was a rabbit wielding a chainsaw and killing women. He even drew that scene in his diary. Honestly, this guy had so many strange layers you could talk about him for hours. Despite his dark bad guy online persona, in real life, he had an otherwise spotless record if you don’t count a speeding ticket from March 2023.

But beneath that outward normaly, hatred was boiling. On April 22nd, 2023, he posted on. ion. This is what I think about your diversity, you losers. Attached to the post was a photo of his new tattoos, double SS lightning bolts, and a swastika. His account was packed with racist, homophobic, and anti-semitic posts.

Among other things, he wrote stuff like, “Jews created a society where men can’t have relationships  with women.” End quote. When journalists investigated this case, they came across a website that summed up his online activity really accurately. An ADL report noted, “Garcia’s posts and writings  reflect a deeply traumatized individual, likely with mental health issues, a misogynistic loner with almost  no connections to others, especially women.

His racism, including toward Asians, Muslims, and people from the Middle East, drove him towards self-radicalization and an adherence to white supremacist and neo-Nazi ideas. On top of that, Maritzio loved showing off his motel style apartment, filming all kinds of videos. In them, he’d clean his guns, shoot at the range,  and proudly show off his place.

It’s kind of unclear why so many incels do these apartment tours. Maybe it’s just because they have nothing better to do, but seriously, it seems like almost every incel does it. Mauricio even filmed a nearly 12minute video of his grim, mediocre apartment. On the walls, there were posters of Dharma, Pablo Escobar, half- naked women, and even the Last Supper.

Uh, these paintings came with the apartment, and they don’t come off. I tried taking them off, but dude, these losers are super glued or they’re nailed to the to the wall, and I they don’t come off. Then we got a painting of The Last Supper. Dude, uh I was going to buy it when I was already going to buy it when I was planning on moving out, but I hadn’t noticed.

But every all my aunts and uncles that I visit, they all have they all have it. Dude, it’s almost like I was going to do it anyway, but after seeing my uh my relatives, my aunts and uncles homes, I had to do it now. And we got Dude, the Dmer poster was expensive as hell. it it cost way more than my other posters even though it’s so  small but I had to have it and I paid more than I would normally and um yeah so I was like dude I think I forgot the website there was only one website I had it and I was just like  fine I’ll

take it even though it’s costs three or four times as much. Got this poster of Pablo Escobar and I got this poster. Okay, this one, just like my other one, my other poster, um th this one is a lot bigger than the one I had in my old room. My the one in my old room was like 24 by 36 and this one is 50x 36. I think it’s 54 by 36.

Dude, this thing is huge. These two posters when I first I I I didn’t think they were going to fit, dude. Maybe if these two  paintings weren’t right there, but I actually got them to fit, dude. Barely, man. By the way, his apartment was absolutely disgusting. Stuff was scattered everywhere you could imagine.

The toilet hadn’t been flushed in days. Half the floor was buried under trash. Maritzio himself admitted he only used disposable plates and basically let the garbage pile up non-stop.  Um, yeah, dude. Also, this loser broke down  the little trash can. Dude, I need to take that  out. It’s  that’s a lot of trash. Um, one of my favorite movies, Sucker Punch.

And of course, you can’t imagine an incel without his poster girlfriend. He wrapped up that video with dramatic music and a shot of his avatar. And honestly, he made a ton of these apartment tours showing the same stuff over and over again. Beyond these weird tours, he created hundreds of videos where he cleaned his guns, reloaded them, swapped out parts, and practiced at the shooting range.

I’ll just cue a few clips. Take a look for yourself. He spent hours doing the exact same thing over and over.  Which mag was it? This one. Yep. Should have loaded it from the other side to see if the pattern will be the same. Oh,   I didn’t load that  right and it popped right out. I like the steel cuz it’s super cheap.

I just lost my Damn it. This loser. The  cat condo made me lose my  Now I got to Let me see. Can you see me? Damn, I’m at the  man. I don’t want to have to take this  off.  Um,   Is the camera even on?  Dude, this thing did not get adjusted. All right,  it.

Mauricio seems stuck in this endless loop of violence, hatred, and isolation. Every week, it was the same thing. writing in his diary, messing with his guns, lurking on incel and extremist forums, talking to himself. And no matter how hard he tried to connect with women, it never went anywhere. Honestly, even his voicemail left zero doubt this was your typical incel.

Hi, this is Mauricio. If you are the phone company, I already sent the money. If you are my parents, please send money. If you are my financial aid institution, you didn’t lend me enough money. If you are my friends, you owe me money. If you’re a female, don’t worry. I have plenty of money.  All right, so we’re slowly getting to the hardest part of this story.

But before we get to that tragic day, May 6th, 2023, let’s take a look at Maritzio’s decline and the warning signs he left behind. If you go back through his diaries and watch his videos, you don’t need to be a psychologist to see it. This guy had a lot of issues. He was lonely, depressed, angry, even aggressive. A literal ticking time bomb.

But here’s the thing. You might think we only see this in his private diaries and personal videos, right? Actually, nope. Everything I’ve  shown you was publicly available on his okay.U page, open to the entire world. So, why didn’t anyone notice?  And could he have been stopped? Sadly, he was so shut off and reclusive that nobody really paid attention to his words or posts.

Plus, since this social network was in Russian, there were very few English-speaking users around. Sure, some Russian users may have seen his profile, but the language barrier and cultural differences basically made it invisible to most people. And now you’re probably wondering, what were his last posts and videos before the tragedy? Let’s take a look.

All righty then. Today, I’m going to be cleaning all my toys cuz I’m going to the range in like two or three  days. All right, let me get those losers out. Come here, you bastard. That’s two. I need one more. Whoops. The camera is hitting the  Ah, there it goes again.  Damn it.

What did I do with the other one? I could have sworn it was right here. At the start of 2023, Maritzio became noticeably more aggressive and radical. Honestly, he just couldn’t shut up when it came to discrimination against women and minorities. It’s hard to even say who he hated more. His pages were packed with neo-Nazi and racist content.

Hundreds of posts targeting Jews, women, and Muslims. During this time, he posted tons of photos showing off his tattoos, a swastika, double SS lightning bolts, and the Zuvault symbol, a phrase dating back to the Crusades that neo-Nazis often use. Mauricio openly talked about his fantasies of race wars and society collapsing.

On top of that, he was also an anarchist. Honestly, over time, he got to the point where he glorified mass killers like the one who carried out the Nashville school shooting in 2023. He even expressed admiration for the so-called king of incelss, Elliot Roger, who in 2014 killed several people in Isa Vista, California.

Moritzio completely identified with the incel movement. He often called women foids, a derogatory slang term derived from female and android. He didn’t believe he could find love or even just normal human connection. Instead, he idolized Roger and even Hitler. And unfortunately, Maritzio eventually decided to follow in their footsteps.

And he did it coldly, deliberately, and methodically. On April 15th, 2023, just 3 weeks before the planned attack, Maritzio visited the Allen Premium Outlet Mall, and took this photo. He then posted it on his OK.Rru profile, adding a timestamp and an aerial shot of the area. A week later, he uploaded new photos of his tattoos, the swastika and SS lightning bolts, firmly confirming his neo-Nazi and white nationalist sympathies.

We’ll dive deeper into this part later, but for now, let’s go back to April 22nd. That day, Maritzio wrote that it seemed like people were starting to suspect he was planning something. No matter how well I try to hide it, someone always sees right through me. The first one was this loser.

He literally said to me, “You look like you’re about to walk into a crowd and start shooting.” Then for some reason, I felt like watching Rampage again. One dude joked, “If you ever snap and come here with a gun, spare me.” All right, I guess it was obvious because I always wore black. I vanished for 2 or 3 days, and when I came back, everyone thought I killed someone or slept with some girl.

And when I was at Texas Fishing Company, one guy said, “When you snap and go on a killing spree, give me a heads up first.” Personally, I think all this wearing  black business is nonsense. I mean, I wear black a lot, too, but no one’s accusing me of about to pull an Elliot Roger. On the night of May 5th into May 6th, 2023, Mauricio wrote, “Full moon, losers.

See you in the morning.” And then on the morning of May 6th, he posted an image of death, a wolf from the cartoon Pussin Boots, captioning it, “Devils Walk.” In his final post, he added a soundtrack from Resident Evil. Biohazard: Go tell Aunt Roie that everybody’s dead, and also the song by Kenosha, You Dug Your Grave, Now Lie in It.

After that, before leaving home for the last time, he scheduled one more video to be published, set to go live after his terrible act. We’ll come back to that, too. May 6th, 2023, Saturday. Lots of Allen residents were spending the day at the Allen Premium Outlets northeast of Dallas. Cafes, shops, sunny weather, a perfect day to walk around with the family.

It was 3:35 p.m. One of the Allen police officers was talking in the parking lot with a mother and her two kids. Ironically, he was telling them at that exact moment, “Be careful. Take care of yourselves.” He had no idea that in a few seconds he would become a key figure in Mauricio’s story, the one who would stop him.

At 3:35 p.m. and 35 seconds, the officer heard automatic gunfire in the distance. Alarmed, he immediately reported over the radio.  I think we got shots fired at the outlet mall.  I got people running. As the officer made his way toward the mall, here’s a quick map so you can get a sense of the situation.

He was heading toward the H and M building where the first shots had come from, but the shooter was moving in the opposite direction away from the officer. The shooter’s movements meant the officer had to cover the distance twice as fast. By 3:37 p.m., the officer was approaching the H and M entrance. The gunfire was getting much louder and closer.

At this point, he briefly spoke with two witnesses nearby and then walked past injured shoppers.  What? Yes.  What you got?  We mass.  Yeah, we got people coming. 145. I believe we got a mass shoot. I got a magazine on the ground.  This is where Maritzio left his car. One of the witnesses captured a portrait style video of him getting out at 3:38 p.m.

The officer rounds the corner of the building and enters the final corridor between himself and the shooter. The gunfire is now extremely close. He moves slowly but confidently toward Mauricio. At 3:38 p.m., the confrontation happens. The officer hits the shooter several times with effective shots. Meritzio fires back briefly, then collapses out of frame.

The officer keeps communicating with other colleagues over the radio, steadily moving toward Maritzio, not knowing his condition. By 3:40 p.m., less than 5 minutes after the first shots, it’s over. Maritzio is dead. His terrifying attack has come to an end.  My phone’s low. I’m moving up on them. Who’s just behind me? Watch your fire.

WATCH YOUR FIRE. I GOT HIM DOWN.  I GOT I THINK SO. I’M NOT HEARING ANY GUNSHOTS. IS HE DOWN?  GODAMN, BRO.  Got him, bro.  STAY DOWN. AS OFFICERS APPROACHED THE BODY, they realized just how well prepared Meritzio had been. He was wearing a tactical vest loaded with ammo, carrying an AR-15, plus two more pistols strapped to his body.

His car had another five firearms inside. On his vest, there was also a patch that read right-wing death squad. According to the autopsy, the cause of death was a gunshot to the mouth that pierced his brain. He also had shots to his right ear, aimed slightly differently than the brain, and to his right arm. All three shots were fired by the same officer we saw on the body camera, a lone hero acting decisively.

The autopsy also noted the absence of his left toe, and toxicology revealed caffeine in his system, but no alcohol or drugs. Maritzio’s attack caused eight more deaths. Among the victims were a security guard, an engineer, and a three-year-old child. A family of three, a father, a mother, and another three-year-old, also died.

Two more children, 8 and 11 years old, sisters, were killed as well. I’ll go into more detail about the victims later in the video. For now, it’s important to note that most of the victims didn’t appear to be white, which could suggest a racial motive. Seven more people were injured, three critically. Their ages range from 5 to 61.

Sources reported that among the injured were the mother of the two young girls who were killed and another child from a family of Korean descent.  So, this is going to be very short and I think you understand we can’t take any questions, but at 3:36 this afternoon, one of our officers was on an unrelated call at the outlet mall.

He heard gunshots, went to the gunshots, engaged the suspect, and neutralized the suspect. He also then called for ambulances. We have a multi- agency response helping us work the scene. They helped us evacuate the mall. We’ve set up reunification areas. I’ve talked to the governor. Um the governor has pledged all the support that the the state has.

So, we appreciate that. Hope it goes without saying that our our deepest sympathies are with the families of the victims. This is a tragedy. People will be looking for answers and we just we’re sorry that uh that those families are experiencing that loss.  During the investigation, officers found a total of eight firearms, some on Maritzio’s body and some in his car.

The photos show he’d amassed a Glock 48, an S and W bodyguard, a Beretta 92FS, a Sig Sauer P226, a Benelli M4, a carbine in 223/556 caliber, probably an AR style rifle, an AK style carbine, and an S and WM and P15. All eight guns were bought legally in his name. Like I said before, with no criminal record and no official entries about mental health issues, Mauricio was legally allowed to buy them.

He was also wearing a utility holster full of magazines and loaded with ammunition. But that wasn’t all. It turned out Mauricio had prepped another video to be released after the shooting. That video came out the same day. And I should warn you, it’s weak and shrill. Really not at all what you might expect. Not quite what you’re expecting, huh? Well, that’s the video. See you.

Some people saw a hint in his words. Here’s a video for you. See you. But with that terrible filter, it’s hard to tell what he really meant and if he meant anything at all, which video he was referring to. The next day, May 7th, at 5:00 p.m., a memorial service took place at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, attended by Governor Greg Abbott and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.

Nearby the mall, a temporary memorial was set up crosses honoring the victims crafted by artist Roberto Marquez, who had previously built commemorative crosses at mass shooting sites across the United States. On May 8th, vehicle owners were allowed to retrieve their cars under escort. The police transferred personal belongings taken from the mall to a nearby recreation center for collection.

On May 16th, the large temporary memorial was taken down so the mall could reopen. It officially reopened 25 days after the shooting on May 31st. As the days passed, the families of the victims prepared for funerals while the public learned more about Mauricio Garcia, his extremist views, and his dark digital footprint. Authorities discovered his profile on the Russian social network.

While that platform is known for minimal moderation, this time it was an exception. Within a few days after the incident, his profile was blocked and removed. Fortunately, a few of us know how to work with archives and backups, so we can get a deeper understanding of this story. Interestingly, although Mauricio’s worldview seems soaked in prejudice, law enforcement never identified a clear motive for his attack.

That’s because he left no explicit letter or note, all that remained was a strange post listing songs and an even stranger video. Curiously, despite identifying himself as a white supremacist, far-right groups didn’t claim him as one of their own or honor him as a martyr. Instead, they distanced themselves, spreading claims that downplayed his ties to white supremacists, instead suggesting connections to Mexican cartels or South American gangs.

This is odd because Meritzio was a full-fledged American and had never lived in Mexico. This attitude from the far right sharply contrasts with how other lone wolves from right-wing circles are treated. For example, Andress Brevik was openly glorified by segments of the far right and received far more support from extremists during his attacks.

Not only did farright groups reject Mauricio as one of their own and refused to hail him as a martyr, they also exploited his mass shooting to spread racist propaganda against the Mexican community. As a result, online debates quickly flared up, mostly about border policies, and some even blamed lenient immigration policies for his actions.

And all this happened despite his clear alignment with farright ideology and the fact that he had lived in the US Sire. While some argued online about whether he was far right, others examined his profile for any red flags or clues. And as I’ve already mentioned, there were plenty from the big ones, like his full online presence to small subtle details.

For instance, even when it seemed he was always writing while on a trampoline or an inflatable castle, Maritzio consistently included the SS symbol in his signature. Many people who knew Maritzio in real life always sensed that something was off. He often mentioned it in his diary.

Some even joked with him, suggesting he might actually be a killer or a mass shooter. But jokes and reality are very different things. It’s likely that Maritzio wasn’t just strange, lonely, and reclusive, but also had major difficulties expressing himself to others. That’s why those around him always felt something was off. Whether his friends sensed killer vibes, only they can confirm that.

But everything changed when he was behind closed doors and a keyboard. Online, Mauricio was violent, divisive, angry, and openly malicious. That’s where most of the clues and early red flags could be found. Not just weeks or months, but years before the tragedy. Honestly, I don’t know what he intended by naming his diary Diary of a Psychotic Manchild.

Clearly, he fit that description, but whether he was aware of it or just expressing himself that way, we’ll probably never know. As is known, both the swastikers and degrading symbols appear as early as 2017. I spent hours and hours combing through his diary. And even now summarizing my research, I keep finding more evidence that he was truly a psychopath.

In one of his diary entries, Mauricio wrote, “I don’t know why, but I enjoy watching and hearing about people’s suffering. When I heard about those starving in some third world country, I just burst out laughing. I find it funny that some losers have to live in complete ruins and rely on UNICEF or some Western country for aid.

I’m a full-blown sadist and unlike others, I feel no remorse. I don’t find it funny when I suffer myself. He also fantasized about the world waging war on itself and created several reaction videos where he watched people being tortured or subjected to other violent acts. These videos were quickly removed from Western social media platforms.

But on OK.ru, which had very lacked moderation, they remained accessible until a few days after the shooting. It’s clear that Mauricio was a deeply corrupted individual. Naturally, this case sparked a major reaction politically and socially. After the shooting, President Joe Biden called on Congress to pass a ban on assault weapons and implement universal background checks before firearm purchases.

Obviously, that never happened. On the other hand, Allen’s local representative, Keith S., dismissed all calls to tighten gun laws after the shooting. He emphasized that America’s real problem is mass shootings committed by people with mental health issues and that nothing has been done to address this.

Once it became public that Mauricio had been discharged from the military, Keith described him as exactly the kind of person who shouldn’t have access to firearms. He also noted that Mauricio’s ability to legally buy guns was a loophole in the system that needed fixing. This story became one of those tragedies that dominated discussions on Twitter. now X for days.

Dozens of unblocked images of the attack circulated across the platform, sparking prolonged racial debates about Maritzio and his beliefs. Incidentally, a few news outlets, most notably Fox News, mistakenly published images of a different Moritzio Garcia, who was completely innocent, forcing him to file a lawsuit because they never issued a correction.

As for the officer in this case, on the 26th of June 2023, a grand jury cleared the unidentified officer, ruling that the use of force was justified. 2 days later, the Allen Police Department released an edited version of the officer’s body cam footage, which has since racked up tens of millions of views online. This officer is now considered a national hero.

From teaching children how to properly use seat belts to just 30 seconds after the first shots, rushing the shooter and stopping him, likely saving dozens of lives. Many believe this officer deserves the highest possible commendation for his heroic actions. And personally, I agree. Despite his legendary deed, he has chosen to remain anonymous to this day.

Now, let’s turn to the victims of this tragedy. The news is heartbreaking. A 6-year-old boy who came to the mall hoping to get a birthday gift, fortunately survived. But his parents, Kong Cho, 37, and Cindy Cho, 35, were killed. Along with him, his three-year-old brother, James Cho, also lost his life.

Two sisters in elementary school lost their second and fourth grade classes, and their seats remained empty for the rest of the school year. Daniela Mendoza, 11, and Sophia Mendoza, 8, were mercilessly murdered by this man. Their mother survived but was injured and had to witness the entire horror. Aaria Tataka, 27, was an engineer living in Frisco, thousands of miles from her family in India.

At the time of the shooting, she was shopping for a birthday outfit. Christian Laauo, 20, died trying to help others during the attack. He was a gentle giant, a graduate of Farmersville High School and worked as a security guard for Allied security. Ilio Rivas was born on the 27th of October 1990 in Caracus, Venezuela.

He came to the US chasing the American dream for his family and always seemed cheerful and positive. When he first arrived, he lived on an air mattress in a friend’s small apartment. Within a few months, he worked various jobs, sending all his earnings home to care for his daughter and his sick mother. None of these victims were targeted because of race or political beliefs.

They were children, parents, students, and heroes. It’s heartbreaking to realize that each of them was an outstanding, kind person. Tragically, they were all taken by a man consumed by violence. I hope the families and friends of these victims can find peace in the months and years ahead. And with that, the main story of Maritzio Garcia comes to an end.

Honestly, I could spend hours going through everything I found in my research. Clearly, Maritzio had a lot of problems, not just with minorities and women, but with himself as well. As for the motive behind his crime, honestly, I don’t know. All I can say is that I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to try to define it. What I can say is that he was filled with hate, and that was clearly one of his dominant emotions.

Before I go, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this case. Personally, I’m holding back from trying to guess his motive, but I’m curious. What do you think drove Maritzio to do this? And that’s it for today, friends. Thank you so  much for watching. I truly appreciate your time. I’ll see you in the next video.

In the meantime, take care of yourselves, look out for each other, and of course, stay safe. Thank you and goodbye.
