KELLY Ripa and Mark Consuelos are supporting their son amid his broadway debut.
The couple’s son Joaquin Consuelos is starring in Broadway’s Death of a Salesman, with the opening night taking place on Thursday (April 9).
At just 23 years of age, Joaquin a newcomer to the stage, and recently graduated from the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance.
The proud parents have gushed about their son’s role on their show Live with Kelly and Mark after watching him on-stage during the show’s opening night.
“It was unbelievable,” Kelly said of the play.
“The entire production is incredible and just to see Joaquin up there took my breath away.

“Took my breath away. Incredible, incredible cast, production, staging — the whole thing,” she swooned.
“Just to see our kid on stage thrilled me,” she added.
“It’s crazy. Doesn’t make any sense.
“If you would have told me when he was a newborn, ‘Oh 22 years from now he’ll be starring on Broadway in Death of a Salesman, I would have thought you were on drugs.”

Mark first saw son Joaquin’s performance earlier than his wife.
The TV host attended the show’s very first preview on March 6.
Kelly missed the preview because Joaquin had asked her not to attend.
“I was not permitted to come,” she said around the time of the preview.
“I said to him, ‘I want to come to first preview.’ And he said, ‘Mom, no. … It’s previews. Just wait ’til opening night.’ [So] I respected his wishes.”
Meanwhile, Mark gushed over Joaquin’s preview at the time.
“He’s amazing. He did such a good job,” the proud dad said on TV at the time.
He confessed to not blinking throughout the three-hour-long play, and even shedding a tear.
“I was watching him with a smile on my face. And [I] cried.
“It’s an amazing play,” he added, “If you’re in New York, please go see this play.”
The production Joaquin is starring in is playing at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City until August 9.
