Ava Sambora and Tyler Farrar have tied the knot.
The 28-year-old daughter of Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora married the investment associate during an outdoor wedding ceremony at the Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, Calif., on Saturday, May 16.
The couple was surrounded by their close family and friends for their special day. Richie, 66, was in attendance, as were Locklear, 64, and her partner, Lorenzo Lamas.
It’s unclear exactly when the couple first met, but Ava seemed to make their relationship Instagram official in March 2019 with a St. Patrick’s Day-themed post. “My lucky charm

Meanwhile, Farrar’s Instagram pictures with Ava go as far back as fall 2018 at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
Farrar popped the question in February 2024, surrounded by a white rose-adorned arch and candles. “Hard launch!” the couple captioned their joint post of photographs at sunset.
Months later, Farrar and Ava celebrated their engagement in an intimate party on Oct. 19. “It was a beautiful day spent celebrating with family and loved ones,” a source told PEOPLE about the event at the time.

“Had the most beautiful night celebrating our engagement! Thank you for being my biggest blessing Tyler William 
#engagedaf,” Ava wrote on Instagram the day after their party, which featured a heart-shaped cake that read “engaged af.”
Earlier this month, Ava celebrated ahead of her nuptials with a floral-themed bridal shower alongside Locklear.
Ava shared moments from the celebration in an Instagram carousel post featuring pink floral arrangements, decorative gift boxes, and a table filled with blooms in shades of white and pink. Other images showed the bride-to-be wearing a white dress adorned with pink flowers, posing alongside her mother, spending time with Farrar and cuddling with the couple’s golden retriever.
“The most beautiful bridal shower,” Ava wrote in the caption. “Thank you to all the amazing women who hosted, organized, and attended this special day. I am beyond grateful for each of them, especially my mama, God mother Juliet, future mother in law Mary, and sister Monica.”
Ava is a model, actress and has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loyola Marymount University, along with a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Southern California. According to LinkedIn, Farrar works as an investment associate at Pacific Partners Real Estate in Los Angeles.
Richie has spoken out about Farrar, adding that the pair have a good relationship. During a November 2024 appearance on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, Richie said he and Farrar had grown close since Farrar began dating Ava.
“It’s like, you know, my speech [at the engagement party] was they’re really in love. I love the kid,” he said. “I mean I’ve taken him on vacation. I like to put him right in the limelight so I get to know him, I get to see him, we get to talk.”
