Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have long been the picture of New York City glamour — and their Upper East Side townhouse proves it. This five-storey, $27 million masterpiece isn’t just a home; it’s a carefully curated sanctuary, blending timeless elegance with modern luxury.
Step inside the heart of their home, and it’s impossible not to be captivated: the kitchen looks like it was plucked straight from a movie set. White shaker cabinets stretch to the ceiling, accented with silver hardware, while marble countertops reflect the soft city light streaming in. A massive island sits proudly at the centre, complete with a built-in sink and a floral arrangement, creating a scene both practical and picturesque.
“The kitchen has a timeless feel,” says Sophie Clemson, interior designer at The Living House. “The off-white cabinets paired with marble worktops create a space you won’t tire of — it’s modern and classic at the same time. Extending the wall units to the ceiling adds height and more storage, while the dark flooring provides a beautiful contrast.”
Clemson adds a practical tip for those dreaming of a similar look: “Dark flooring looks incredible, but it shows every crumb! Adding personal touches like artwork, plants, or a large vase can make the kitchen feel uniquely yours.”
The interiors of the Ripa-Consuelos home, designed by Studio Sofield, are as striking as the kitchen. Purchased in April 2013, the townhouse boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a rooftop terrace with sweeping city views, a private garden, and even a bespoke cigar lounge.
Despite its current perfection, the couple admits their journey with the home had humble beginnings. “I remember when we bought our first home, and we immediately regretted it,” Kelly confessed on a 2024 episode of LIVE with Kelly and Mark. “At closing, the broker said, ‘I can tell you’re new homeowners.’ We’ve come a long way since then.”
The interiors fuse the glamour of 1970s New York with the romance of 1920s Paris. Bill Sofield, the designer behind the vision, even accompanied the couple to Parisian flea markets to find original pieces, ensuring that each corner tells a story. “Something more interesting than just us happened to all of these beautiful pieces,” Kelly shared, highlighting the unique light fittings in her bedroom.
From the city skyline views to the movie-set-worthy kitchen, Kelly and Mark have crafted a home that isn’t just luxurious — it’s a timeless haven where family comes first. And with Michael, 28, Lola, 24, and Joaquin, 23, this Upper East Side gem is alive with the laughter and love of a family that truly makes it their own.
