You’ve still got a friend in Tristan Williams if you’ve compared him to Woody from Toy Story. The Jeopardy! champion opened up about fans thinking he looks like the cowboy, and he is not mad about it.

After his fifth win, Jeopardy! fans took to social media to put side-by-side photos of the beloved character and the game show champion. “Do you actually see Woody from Toy Story in Tristan??” a Facebook user wrote. Many fans agreed with the poster.

Now, on the way to his eighth game, the data scientist spoke out about the comparison.”I had heard once or twice before that I kind of looked like Woody from Toy Story, and then the internet caught it, it spread like wildfire, and it’s so fun,” he told Lincoln Journal Star.

“Woody is a great, great character. It’s an awesome thing to be tied to,” he added.

Jeopardy' Fans Think Champion Tristan Williams Looks Like Famous Movie Character

Williams, from Lincoln, Nebraska, probably doesn’t mind the comparison because he loves movies and pop culture. He told the outlet that his strongest Jeopardy! categories are movies and music. (Maybe after his streak is over, he can grab a partner and head on over to Pop Culture Jeopardy!)

Despite being a new dad, Williams revealed that his “nightmare” categories were vocabulary and child parenting. He shared that because he is a new father to a baby girl, the latter is “even more intimidating.”

As a child, Williams had his mom quiz him on artists from 1980s compilation CDs while they rode around in their car. He was the only contestant who correctly answered the Final Jeopardy question on May 14 about the John Mellencamp song “Jack & Diane.”

Williams considers himself a “trivia nerd” and told the Journal Star that he grew up watching Jeopardy! with his family. They regularly played games like Trivial Pursuit. His family enjoyed competing against him at first, but as his knowledge grew, the contests became one-sided.

The reigning champion submitted applications for the game show for 16 years before he finally got on it. Williams is not saying “So long, partner” just yet. He is set to go for his eighth game and win on May 15.
