Carson Daly’s son is growing up fast — and even co-anchor Jenna Bush Hager can hardly believe it.
On Monday, May 18, Daly took over Sheinelle Jones’ spot on TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle and shared a heartfelt update on his family of six. The MTV alum, 52, has been married to Siri Pinter since 2015, and together they have four children: son Jackson, 17, and daughters Etta, 13, London, 11, and Goldie, six.
“Never a dull moment in the Daly household,” Carson said, smiling as he shared a photo of himself and Jackson on a recent golf trip with Carson’s stepfather, Richard Caruso. The photo highlighted how much Jackson resembles his father, a fact that clearly left Jenna in disbelief. “Golf is definitely the sport that bonds our entire family, so it was really special for us,” Carson added.
Reflecting on Jackson’s teenage years, Daly revealed that during the pandemic in 2020, Jackson had helped him on Popstart, holding up graphics signs for the show. Carson joked about fans recognizing Jackson from those early appearances: “Often we’re at a market or the airport, and a viewer will say, ‘I remember you from the graphics department.’”
As Jackson begins preparing for college next year, Carson admitted that the reality of his firstborn moving out hasn’t quite hit him yet. “I’m looking for real estate around the university,” he said jokingly. “Every time we drive by LIU Post, I’m like, ‘Buddy, we’re going to get a sick apartment here, I’m gonna hang out, it’s gonna be great.’”
Despite the humor, Daly’s love and pride for his son were evident: “In my mind, I’m going with him to college — the reality hasn’t hit yet that I’m not going.”
Turning to his other children, Carson shared lighthearted updates: he joked that he barely communicates with 13-year-old Etta, adding, “Do you guys speak 13-year-old?” He revealed that Snapchat has actually improved their conversations. Eleven-year-old London is “doing great,” while six-year-old Goldie continues to be a whirlwind of energy, keeping the family’s cockapoo, Buckey, busy and entertained.
