Al Roker, the legendary weatherman and TODAY Show host, has addressed recent retirement rumors while celebrating 30 years on NBC’s morning program. At 71, Roker shared with PEOPLE magazine that he has no immediate plans to retire, expressing his enduring passion for broadcasting. “I love what I do,” he said. “I feel good. I love this job. Reflecting on his milestone, Roker paid tribute to co-stars and the legacy of the show, which has been a staple of American television since 1952. Roker also acknowledged personal challenges, sharing his 2020 prostate cancer surgery and recovery, marking five years in remission. He encouraged men, especially men of color, to get regular PSA checks. Additionally, he recounted knee surgeries in 2022 and 2023, which temporarily sidelined him, but assured fans that he is doing well.
