The BBC has confirmed a major shake-up for Strictly Come Dancing, announcing Emma Willis, 50, Josh Widdicombe, 43, and Johannes Radebe, 39, as the new hosting trio, stepping into the shoes of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman after their departure last year.

Fans were teased with the news on Strictly’s official Instagram page, where the three stars appeared together in a playful video marking the announcement. Emma expressed excitement at joining the show, saying:

“It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Strictly – I’ve cheered and danced along from my sofa for years – so to be stepping into the Strictly ballroom is something I can’t quite comprehend.”

Josh, who competed in the 2024 Christmas special and has co-hosted The Last Leg since 2012, admitted he was “giddy with excitement” at landing the role. Johannes, a fan-favourite professional dancer since 2018, said hosting the show was “beyond anything I ever imagined” and praised the opportunity to bring joy and magic back to the ballroom.

The announcement follows a rigorous audition process, with several high-profile presenters including Zoe Ball, Rylan Clark, and Angela Scanlon vying for the coveted slots. Emma was the first confirmed, followed by Josh after impressing producers with his chemistry tests.

Fans can expect Dianne Buswell, Nancy Xu, Vito Coppola, Julian Caillon, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Jowita Przystał, Aljaž Škorjanec, Alexis Warr, and Kai back on the dance floor, alongside new professional dancers yet to be announced. The celebrity contestants will once again be judged by Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton du Beke.
