The Disgusting Crimes Of The Female Guards Of The Concentration Camps – WWII History Documentary

many of the most evil and brutal concentration camp guards of World War II were women and some even went to The Gallows for their executions for what they did they were torturers executioners and murderesses and they had no regard for the lives of the prisoners one example was hermine Briner who was even seen leading a young teenage girl up to The Gallows and securing The Noose around her neck and in sites such as azenberg and bson these women became beasts there were some women who at the end of the war were
brought to war crimes trials for their actions and the courtrooms gasped in horror when the true accounts of their crimes were told but many more evaded Justice and some were never discovered with the majority evading any form of action welcome to the untold past today we look at the crimes of the female guards of the concentration camps and as always to support our Channel please make sure to subscribe as Hitler took over control of Germany many younger people were captivated by the fura and dictator and became
indoctrinated by their support of him and also by the Nazi policies Jenny Barkman was one of those women who greatly supported the Nazis and at the age of just 22 she began to search for work inside of the sadistic and brutal concentration camps it’s believed that she was involved in the Nazi youth groups such as the league of German girls but she entered the Concentration Camp system lateer in the war for a female guard in 1944 she joined stutthof concentration camp and whilst here she became an alerin or a female guard most
of the 55,000 guards who worked inside of various concentration camps were men but women were needed especially to oversee women prisoners at camps such as ravensbrook ravensbrook was a main training area for women who wanted to become a brutal guard and they were scor appear in sadistic acts of violence and how to persecute and instill Reigns of fear and Terror the Nazis were not too selective over who they wanted to become a guard and any woman without any formal work experience was considered to become a concentration camp guard because of
this many women came to camps from very different jobs some were former cooks and waitresses and some were even hairdressers who had seen advertisements in newspapers the SS retinue for women led many to work inside of camps and Jenny Bartman came to schof at the time in the war where things were starting to turn against the Germans stof was a concentration camp set up by the Nazis in the marsh lands around the city of Danish and after Poland was invaded and taken it was a site where many of the former polish leaders were held it is
remembered as the first concentration camp established outside of German borders and it was the last Camp to be liberated by the Allies despite this the horrors of schof were very similar to camps such as Bergen Bon and aitz where huge killing took place and where conditions were dire and awful punishments were administered also which often led to prisoners being beaten to death by the guards who worked there 65,000 prisoners died inside of the Camp’s walls because of murder hunger disease and forc labor many of us were
also forced onto death marches and 110,000 people passed through the gates around 28,000 Jews were executed inside the camp it was also filled with with members of the Polish resistance and underground who also met bloody ends thousands of prisoners were succumbing to disease and starvation and tyus in particular caused many problems it went through the camp very quickly selections took place in which anyone deemed ill or weak were sent straight to their deaths inside the Camp’s small gas chamber which constantly was in
operation in 1944 but stof had a long history of death and execution and prisoners were beaten to death and even drowned in the boggy mud surrounding the camp a day at the camp would usually lead to someone being forced to work incredibly hard inside the workshops and factories space there all nearby and the prisoners had to do this on little food Jenny bman when she arrived there would be ruthless and brutal with her treatment of the prisoners and this led to many of them being haunted by her actions she became
known for sadism and immense cruelty and often beat prisoners to death with her bare hands as soon as she got to St off she was involved in the mass murder and killing and was involved in the selections where she would be playing God with people’s lives Barkman decided who would live another day and who would be sent to their deaths in the gas Chambers and it was noted how she sent many women and children to their deaths because of her reputation she was known as a beautiful Spectre and she would regularly Whip and beat prisoners with
her bare hands for only the slightest infringements of the Camp’s rules she was responsible for a number of deaths and despite only being at stut off for a year or so she had a horrifying Legacy as the war turned against the Germans Jenny Bartman tried to get away and hide she arrived in the besieged city of Gdansk and tried to evade capture under a false name but in May 1945 she was arrested she was brought to trial along with the other guards who worked at stutthof and she stood alongside 12 of her defendants including
six women at her trial it was noted that she did not take the proceeding seriously and that she was more bothered by her appearance or by her hair than her crimes she wore a different hairstyle each day and flirted with guards as they came near her she was sentenced to death and in front of huge crowds in Gans on the biscup Gorka Hill she was executed 200,000 people came to see the executions of those who worked at stof and inflicted such suffering and Jenny bman was forced to stand on a truck under a huge Gallows a new was then
placed around her neck and the truck drove off leaving her hanging within minutes she was dead Jenny bartman’s crimes were very common during the Holocaust especially with women guards who worked at some of the horrific sites of Slaughter she is remembered for being only a young woman when she was executed and she has remembered alongside of her Gods such as Elizabeth fenra and herma graser who inflicted such suffering to others at a young age the crimes of Jenny Bartman are endless despite the fact she only worked at stutthof for one
year and today many of her crimes remain Untold Carman Mory a Swiss National was impressed and attracted to the National socialists and the Nazi party she had been working before the war broke out as a journalist for what today is a Guardian newspaper and it’s considered that she had a very good upbringing however from the time when Hitler came into power to 1937 she began to work as a journalist inside of Berlin whilst the Nazi ideologies were being pressed onto the population inside the German Capital she would produce articles for the newspaper
but in 1934 she was approached by the Gusto the secret police to work as an undercover agent and she accepted this proposition she would work under Bruno Satler and was tasked with spying and keeping an eye on a publisher in Zurich and she was assigned of a work for the gusto in Paris spying on a politician she would collect as much information as she could then pass it on to the Gusto and she even collected information on the magino line the series of fortifications established by the French to repel any Invasion however in France kman Mory was
ultimately arrested and after being tried she was sentenced to death on the 28th of April 1940 but she was pardoned by the French as it was believed she accepted a deal to become a double agent for them but soon after this Germany invaded and occupied France and because of her capture Mory was considered to have been not useful by the Garo the secret police even suspected that she had been turned as a double agent and because of this they arrested her and she was released before being arrested again in 1941 following this she was then sent as
a prisoner initially to ravensbrook concentration camp however she then became a cappo there ravensbrook was an old female concentration camp established by the Nazis and around 130,000 women would pass through the barwi fences there and it’s estimated that between 30,000 and 990,000 were killed at the camp the conditions there were very harsh and women were forced to conduct heavy and hard labor and it was said of the camp that they did not shoot the women we were to die of misery hunger and exhaustion when we arrived at
ravensbrook it was the worst the first thing I saw was was a cart with all the dead piled on it their arms and legs hanging out and their mouths and eyes wide open they reduced us to nothing we didn’t even feel like we had the value of cat all you worked and you died it was where there were many different medical experiments also took place but how did K and mor a prisoner commit crimes there she was appointed to become a carpo which was a prisoner based inside of the concentration camps where they were given duties by the SS to
oversee for labor and to carry out different jobs and admin tasks at the camp using them cut down cost for the Germans and they sought to use some prisoners to oversee others and the carpos were involved with the running of the camp these were the ones who would ensure that all the rules were followed in an individual Barrack and different carpos were given different roles such as a room leader who would be involved in making sure hygiene was good inside the Barrack or the registra who was involved in keeping records at roll call
after the second world war had come to an end there were many different accounts of carpos being brought to war crimes trials for their cruelty and brutality and being complicit in The Killing process at the camps most knew what was going on and many carpos would use violence and some had blood on their hands being responsible for killing prisoners and enforcing the conditions himler would state of their role that the moment he becomes a carpo he no longer sleeps with them he is held accountable for for the performance of
the work that they are clean that the beds are well built so he must drive his men the moment we become dissatisfied with him he is no longer a carpo he’s back to sleeping with his men and he knows that he will be beaten to death by them at the first night however kmen Mory worked as a carpo at ravensbrook and she was involved in overseeing the conditions and work which went on inside of her block she oversaw the force labor and was described as a real Beast and she showed how much of a psychopath that she really could be she was seen by
Witnesses abusing and beating women who are inside of the infirmary many of these prisoners were classed as mentally ill and in one incident it was said a number of prisoners were naked and some wore short day shirts they had a camp number written in a chemical pencil on their chests some of them dragged themselves off the floor and huddled together in the center of a room the windowless room was only a few square meters big the terrified Polish women was spotted by Mory who took out a syringe out of her pocket and said I
don’t advise you to be so sensitive it calms you down Forever My Love She then laughed and said now I’ll show you something else before you see I have to explain to you that all the dong worms are dying she would taor the prisoners with injections which could kill and then went to show off a bathroom filled with naked women’s bodies lying on the floor that she bragged she was responsible for Carmen Mory was also known for beating in prisoners with a belt and a rubber hose very badly would use this to drive prisoners to do more
work she was also known for pouring cold water over them in freezing conditions which could bring on hypothermia and kill rather disturbingly she was overheard saying about the conditions in her Barrack I do not give them anything to eat sometimes I throw them a slice of bread what happens then you have to see it I have the most fun when I see them eating their own feces Mory had become one of those barbaric concentration camp members of staff and she was very proud of it but let’s remember that she was an Ardent Nazi and was attracted to the
Nazi way of life so she probably felt that as she was working for the gustara before she deserved to be involved in the brutal and barbaric nature of the concentration camps she was known for being a monster and was described as SED masochistic Psychopathic sexually veracious and one of the Camp’s most notorious caros at the end of the second world war she was released from venbrook but many of her other prisoners identified her as a beastly member of staff and she was arrested and placed on trial she was brought to trial and the media heard of
her crimes and she was regarded as a third rate matahari and asab Bella Donna and for her crimes she would be sentenced to death but before her execution kmen Mory decided to escape the hangman’s noose by taking her own life on the 9th of April 1947 the other defendants sentenced to death alongside her would be ex ecuted less than a month later the crimes of kmen moris show us the even prisoners who were given some power inside of the concentration camps could join in and instigate A Reign of Terror and hate over others it was clear
that she was attracted to the politics of the Nazi party and that she was a Nazi who happened to find herself a prisoner at ravensbrook for the fact she had been captured as a spy today many of kori’s crimes remain Untold perta boa was born on the 3rd of January 1921 in mecklinburg it’s believed that as a young girl she joined the league of German girls the youth group established by the Nazis in which girls were taught how to raise children this was done to ensure that they had as many children for Hitler’s
Reich as possible and also in the group they were taught how to keep a good house and also taught many domestic tasks she helped her father in his wood shop as a young girl but it was clear that she was indoctrinated like so many young people with the ways of the Nazi regime in September 1942 Bolter became the SS alarin at ravensbrook concentration camp she was around 21 years old and she had gone to ravensbrook to learn how to be a concentration camp guard many women who became Infamous for their horrific treatment of prisoners such as her
mcgraa and Maria Mandel all worked at ravensbrook and were scolded in brutality and violence there Bolter then was placed on a 4-we training course and she was sent to theof camp near to Danish to work as an overseer while she was at shutov she gained the nickname the sadist of shutov and she was known around the camp for her horrific and Savage beating of prisoners she stayed there for around 2 years when she was arrested after the war she was questioned at trial with regards to her brutality and violent side she was asked have you ever beaten
anyone at all she replied yes with my hands because they stole wood and other things I’ve never beaten anyone with a stick a piece of wood or a rubber trenen she was 6′ 3 in tall when standing in her Jack Boots she would have been an intimidating figure for anyone it was claimed also that she walked around the camp with a pistol and she would regularly beat and hit prisoners sometimes very severely she claimed at her trial later that she had nothing to do with prisons at shutoff but this was of course a lie she
then transferred in July 1944 to Bromberg East subcamp before she accompanied a death march of women in January 1945 from Poland to Bergen bellson as the Soviets were advancing towards German lands and pushing back the German forces the concentration camps were evacuated and staff were brought back to camps such as Berg and bellson Bon’s numbers swelled heavily and the camp could not cope and the healthcare and food given to prisoners was virtually non-existent disease was rampant and typhus was killing hundreds each day and
in months dozens of thousands of prisoners were being killed by the conditions there Bolter stood out from other female guards because she wore civilian clothes much of the time there but she still towered above them at her trial she went into detail about what she did at bellson she arrived without any duties and was then appointed to the bath house and then she became in charge of the wood Commando a group of prisoners who were tested with Gathering wood she said there were 60 internees in a Commando which was under the charge of
an SS man and I was the aarin the interes were practically all Russians and were in quite good states of Health big tree trunks were fetched from the woods into the camp and the male internees cut them into smaller parts and the women into even lesser Parts whilst I was working with this Commando I had nothing to do with other prisoners at bson she claimed that she never hurt a prisoner whilst monitoring the wood commando but disturbing accounts came out about her violence it was claimed by one prisoner that Bolter was seen beating prisoners
with her bare hands at bellson that she beat a prisoner to death who had been working in the vegetable Detachment presumably for stealing food the women in her wood collecting Detachment were given more food because of the manual labor but it was not enough to sustain the prisoners under her command she claimed that she dealt with prisoners stealing from the wood Detachment and she said that when she caught someone she slapped them on the face she claimed she did not use a stick or any other weapon but accusations about this came
and it was said she brutalized some women who were caught with wood in their pockets she was known for beating prisoners to death who were taking turnip peelings from the camp kitchen and claimed that in the final days of the camp there were no dead bodies lying around which of course was a lie she was seen as a ruthless over SE who forced women and men to work incredibly hard with the threat of violence looming over them when bson was liberated she was forced to help clean up the bodies and corpses in the camp and she later told
of the horror in doing this she said she was not allowed to wear gloves to do this which made her fear forgetting typhus her toota also claimed that the bodies were so rotten that limbs would come away when they were moved and she had the audacity to complain of a bad back when doing this job this was disgusting considering she was part of the infrastructure that allowed such brutality to continue she was then arrested and was imprisoned at Chella prison before she was then taken to trial at the bellson trials the judges
showed her for being a ruthless person who would Relish in hitting prisoners but she maintained her stance that she never beat anyone with a rod stick or any instrument this was of course disputed as there was evidence that she battered a Hungarian Jew named Eva to death with a wooden block and another prisoner testified that B shot two prisoners for unknown reasons with her pistol the evidence behind this was shaky nothing was proven which ultimately spared her to boa going to The Gallows despite this she was a very
violent woman and was part of the sadistic SS guard system at one of the worst concentration camps and she had also not worked at aitz where horrendous crimes and mass murder were committed this is also what spared her a death sentence when compared to guards such as Irma graer herota was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for her involvement in the Holocaust and was released early on the 21st of December 1951 alongside a number of other female guards who were captured at bellson Hera had a reputation inside of
the concentration camps for being a huge brutal woman who would inflict violence onto prisoners whenever she felt like it ultimately she was spared execution because of the fact she had not worked at aitz also and the evidence about her murdering prisoners was her testimony versus her Witnesses what is shocking is that when she committed all of the acts of brutality she was roughly only 24 years old which shows how indoctrinated the young adults were within Hitler’s Germany herab Botha lived until the year 2000 when she died at the age of 79 and
she claimed in her later years that she was forced to go and work at a concentration camp she claimed did I make a mistake no the mistake was that it was a concentration camp but I had to go to it otherwise I would have been put in one myself that was my mistake why her for Botha would have thought she would have been imprisoned inside one of these camps as a mystery but she did not deny or show much compassion for the people she had tortured and the crimes she had committed today many of her fous crimes remain
Untold following the archelus of Austria Maria Mandel who lived within Austria moved to Munich and became involved first in concentration camps in October 1938 she joined the staff at lenburg and she must have been an Ardent Nazi to make this shift rather quickly inside of this early camp in Saxony Mandel along with 50 other women worked as staff and she was an AER in But as time went on the Nazis expanded their prison systems a network of camps and they opened an exclusive women’s Camp named ravensbrook inside here thousands of
women would be held as the second world war waged on but ravensbrook became a Nazi SS guard training school inside of here many women would be sent to the camp to learn how to become gods they would then go to other sites such as Berg and bellson but inside of ravensbrook Mandel impressed her superiors and she then became an SS Ober aler in in April 1942 whilst at ravensbrook she was in charge of daily roll call and would also dish out much of the punishment such as floggings beatings and would oversee executions she was a very senior female
guard but as the final solution wrapped up across Nazi occupied lands aitz became the largest killing site of the Holocaust Mandel was assigned to aitz to birkenau which was the extermination Center at the camp and she became an SS ler furin and was working under Rudolph hurse she was the most senior female member of staff at aitz and was seen as a woman who can inflict such brutality and instill fear into prisoners she had control and absolute power over the women inside of the camp and she only reported to commandant Rudolph HSE she
was in charge of all the female sub camps at aitz and she promoted many of her horrific guards to oversee the reign of terror she was known for standing at the gates of ashz Buren now and if anyone dared to look at her standing there they would be seized and then killed being sent to the gas Chambers or murdered on mandal’s orders she became known at aitz as a beast and for two years she was involved in sending thousands of people especially women and children to their deaths in the selections as women and children
arrived at the camp most were sent to the gas Chambers at selections and very few made their way into the camp only those who were considered useful enough to conduct work she signed the inmate lists and the death lists and because of this she oversaw the deaths of over half a million people inside of the gas Chambers at aitz there were many accounts of her horrific treatment aitz that came out at her trial and more stories of Mandel’s violent tendencies emerged one Jewish prisoner at her trial would State at the ramp in Buren now the
transport was awaited by the defendant Mandel accompanied by ssom Margaret dresel and as soon as the transport had arrived Mandel carried out a selection sending approximately 90% of the transport to the cars which transported these people to a nearby crematorium during these selections defendant Mandel tortured the prisoners in a cruel way beating the women and men and the children with a whip and kicking them blindly she would tear the children from the arms of their mothers when the mothers tried to come near the children
and defend them Mandel would beat the mothers horribly and kick them I saw right next to me a young 20-year-old mother who tried to go near her 2-year-old child thrown onto the car and Mandel kicked and beat her so cruy that she did not get up no more I held my four-year-old Child by the hand the defendant Mandel approached me tore my child away from me and threw the child onto a still empty car so that the child got wounded in the face and began to cry and call me but I was put aside to the group that wasn’t loaded onto the cars
when I tried to reach a child crying on the car Mandel began to beat me so cruy that I fell she continued to kick me although I was lying on the ground and she knocked out almost all of my teeth with her shoe more stories of Mandel’s brutality emerged for example Salah fader’s account who told of the torture instigated inside of block 25 at aitz Mandel was the one responsible for this it was said in my block 700 women were chosen out of a thousand in the whole Camp Mandel selected several thousands of women and all of them naked were
crammed into one block number 25 where they stayed for seven days and nights without food or water on the night of the 27th of September they were transported to the crematorium for the period of these seven days we heard horrible screams and groans issuing from that block when the women were taken to the crematorium the block Elder a Slovakian woman named Sila told us that after those seven days there were more corpses than living people in that block and that almost all of them had bitten fingers and breasts and pled out eyes
during these seven days if any prisoner wanted to carry water or some food to that block she was arrested there and perished with the rest the above described selection was carried out by defendant Manel in person with the help from capos stenia Leo and Maria all of them cruel and used to torturing the prisoners in a horrific manner she had a need to inflict such violence and brutality onto prisoners and also instill the necessary mentality in her subordinates that this was what was needed she would beat prisoners who were
stripped naked and TI to wooden post and it was said along with fellow God dapa bins Mandel preferred to beat people with her bare hands rather than to ask discovers to do it it was said that she looked for women who had curled hair as this was against the camp rules and if she found one curly lock of hair she would kick and beat the women to the ground kicking them in the head she sometimes even shave the heads of these women and forced them to walk around asit with a sign around their necks saying I broke the rules and curled my
hair she was seen King inmates to death and one witness saw her kill a prisoner during roll call whilst the piano Was Heard being played from a Barrack building Maria Mandel was awarded the war Merit cross second class then was moved to the sub Camp of daal before the war came to an end she fled and tried to escape into the mountains of Southern Bavaria but was caught and captured she was then handed over to the Polish for her war crimes trial and she was found to have been very intelligent but incredibly devoted to her work inside of
the camps following her trial she was sentenced to death and was accused of being involved in the deaths of 500,000 people for her selections and the fact her signature was on the prisoner list she was taken into a crack off prison that was Notorious for its use as a Gusto prison during World War II and was held here for a short time before she was hanged alongside many other former members of staff at aitz but Maria Mandel’s brutality was not up for question there were so many witnesses of her evil and sadistic
actions towards innocent prisoners she was a murderer and a woman who actively participated and engineered the genocide inside the concentration camps she was a woman who trained an army of female Gods to also carry out work like she did and to inflict A Reign of Terror onto the people of aitz today many of Maria Mandel’s crimes still remain Untold Analisa Colman was born on the first of March 1921 inside of Hamburg her father George was a masonic leader and it’s assumed that she had a normal life growing up inside of Hitler’s
Germany it’s likely that she would have joined the league of German maidens and would have in this group been involved in various activities that the group participated in they aimed to train women to become good Mothers and mothers who would provide Hitler with as many children as possible for his Third Reich inside of this group girls also learn domestic roles in jobs such as how to keep a good house and cookery whilst the boys joined the Hitler Youth where they completed military drills for a career in the armed forces anaisa was an Ardent
Nazi and on the 1st of April 1940 inside of Hamburg she became a member of the party at this time she was working as a conductor on the Hamburg Street car system and she lived with her parents until the 30th of October 1944 but on the 4th of November 19 44 she was conscripted into a role which would take her into the depths of the Nazi concentration camps as the war continued for the Germans they conscripted different people into different roles and the military to fight their enemies there is some debate as to
whether she was forced to become a God or whether she actually chose of her own free will as she joined the SS women’s auxiliary by doing this she knew what she was going to be let into and before a short period of training in which she was schooled into how to instill A Reign of fear and Terror Colman was appointed to become an Al serin or female guard inside of the new gamma concentration camp specifically she first work at the new grabin sub camp where over 500 women prisoners were kept close to her hometown of Hamburg New Eng Gama itself
was a large concentration camp in which 106,000 prisoners would pass through its barwi fences and almost 43,000 people were killed inside of the camp it was known for its terrible food rations and the portions offered for prisoners were poor quality and not enough to sustain especially with the hard labor that was administered there the camp had a policy of extermination through Labor where prisoners would be worked so hard that they would die from the horrific unsanitary hard and terrible conditions the death rate at the camp was very high
and as the war turned following Stalingrad a number of Soviet PS were sent there the guards here exced exd terrible brutality over the prisoners and executions and beatings were very common and would be administered if a prisoner would not perform enough work anelisa Colman was transferred to the slave labor camp of hul tack in March 1945 and she was involved again in overseeing female prisoners but also March 1945 the prisoners at the sub camps were being sent on death marches to places such as bur and bellson uring
one transport a prisoner train was hit by an air raid killing a number of prisoners over the course of the month thousands of people were transported to get away from the front lines and to avoid them falling into Soviet hands and along with the death marches and transports many SS guards and staff also went for some reason Analisa Colman cycled to Bergen bellson and arrived there on the 8th of April 1945 now as a guard she was known for being sadistic and violent with prisoners she would repeated whip many different people including pregnant
women some pregnant women were found with brutal whip marks across their faces because of colan’s brutality and she would also kick them until they lost Consciousness in her Jack Boots she would beat prisoners to pieces if they did not do what she asked or were not working hard enough it was her job at Nama to get prisoners working as hard as they could so they could perish and because of this she terrorized her work detachments during one incident Colman punished a female prisoner to 30 lashes for stealing a small piece of bread she
did this a number of times and also sexually assaulted a number of young Jewish girls whilst at bellson she traded her clothes in her guard uniform to a prisoner who gave her a prisoner uniform here she tried to pass herself off as a prisoner of bellson to evade capture once the camp was liberated but it did not take long before she was discovered within 2 days she was recognized and arrested and then was forced to take part in the huge cleanup operation along with other guards at bellson Coleman was made to take the
corpses of those who had died and bury them inside of mass Graves the cleanup took a long time before she was then brought to trial Analisa Colman was not tried in the first bson trials alongside the former commandant Yosef Kar the Beast of bson or the infamous female guard Amma Grazer which was brought to the second bson trial this took place at lunor on the 13th of June 1946 and lasted 5 days being prided over by the British military on trial were a number of defendants and Anala was one of those and Witnesses told of
her brutality she was known for carrying her Whip and hitting anyone who was not doing what they should and also she was known for abusing female prisoners Colman also became known for the fact she would brutalize even the most vulnerable people including pregnant women but one issue at her trial was the fact that she did not actually take a life or it was not known and evidence was not gathered that made her a murderer she was not found to have participated in selections sending people to their deaths inside of gas
Chambers and there were no witnesses that came forward that said that Colman beat someone so badly that they did die or that she shot anyone randomly because of this she was considered a minor war criminal compared to others despite being an Ardent member of the Nazi party and a person who would happily brutalize the vulnerable because of this she was only sentenced to 2 years imprisonment but she would never really serve any time at all for her crimes shockingly despite being found guilty of crimes against humanity because she had served time in
prison before her trial she was actually bizarrely released on the day that her trial finished so a guilty war criminal was happily let free from the courtroom because of her pre-trial confinement and incarceration she would stay in Hamburg for a number of years and then she moved to West Berlin and died at the age of 56 inside of the German Capital what is bizarre is the fact that Analisa colan escaped without any real punishment she was an evil woman who would happily and violently re down hell with her Whip and her verdict was no
real Justice for her victims Colman was one of many female guards who ended up at Bergen B as a war turned against the Germans and a number was sentenced to death in the bson trials but compared to these women colan received a sentence which was incredibly lenient and shocking and today many of her crimes remain Untold IR mra’s decision to join the League of German girls the youth branch of the Nazi party for teenage girls caused chaos within her family her father her from joining the Nazi group but herma the rebellious teenager joined
anyway she went further rebelling against her father’s anti-nazi beliefs and shortly before her 18th birthday she moved to the SS female helpers training base found near ravensbrook which was an all female concentration camp whilst here she trained in how to become a concentration camp guard being schooled in horrific brutality and barbaric treatment she was taught by some of the most infamous female guards and herma graser would join the ranks of those when she became involved in the concentration camp system following her
training she worked at ravensbrook and her sister it’s claimed also work there she claimed whil at ravensbrook that she was paid 34 marks a month and she noted that the conditions there were very severe but at ravensbrook she was working as a volunteer initially and she made the conscious choice to treat people terribly from her own mind she was not conscript into the Concentration Camp system but instead voluntarily chose to go and treat people in that manner she was promoted to a supervisor at ravensbrook but by June 1942 the
persecution against the Jews had increased significantly and the policies against them was inflicting large scale suffering and huge deportations to concentration camps were occurring as more were being deported there was a need for more workers and in March 1943 after impressing at Raven Brook herma graer was transferred across to aitz whilst at aitz she was promoted where she acted as a guard inside of asz to Buren now this was the main extermination element of the camp and it was whilst here that she was incredibly
brutal she was involved in the sistic selections where she would walk in between prisoners selecting those who were deemed not fit enough to work those prisoners would then be sent to their deaths inside of the gas Chambers at the camp she eventually Rose to the second highest rank for a female concentration camp guard but whilst at aitz gra developed a reputation for being a Despicable and violent guard many different survivors of the camp and also Bergen bellson where she was later transported to at the end of the
conflict would testify of her brutality graer was known for being incredibly violent striking women with such force that they would be knocked to the floor and would have their teeth knocked out she was was known for assaulting inmates and she also walked and patrolled aitz with her dog this dog had been trained to kill and gra would let it Feast upon the prisoners and on a number of occasions prisoners were man to death by her dog she would carry her whip would constantly Whip and beat prisoners causing much Bloodshed and she
would also kick prisoners with her Jack Boots until blood was drawn she was also known for emotionally torturing prisoners whilst they were working in pits or IND different parts of the camp graer who was on patrol would draw out her pistol and would shoot one of the prisoners dead for no reason she randomly shot prisoners and laughed once she had taken her life and took great pleasure in this whilst during the selections it was said she would select prisoners to die who she thought were better looking than her out of nothing
but pure jealousy she would send these women to their death straight away and would drive the women into the gas Chambers armed with her whip it was also claimed in her quarters and Hut where she lived that there were lampshades found made from human skin but this has been disputed she would without any need beat prisoners to death and for all of this she gained the nickname the hyena of aitz and The Beautiful Beast when questioned at trial about her violent tendencies she claimed that all of the evidence against her was nothing but a
lie she did admit that her dog did bite someone on the shoulder once and claim she never purposely set her dog onto prisoners and inmates she claimed she did not beat the prisoners and she said that she saw other guards beating prisoners but claimed she did not do this herself evidence was put forward that claimed she was seen at aitz with the angel of death Dr Yosef mangala selecting prisoners for the gas Chambers and she claimed that this may have happened and that when many prisoners ran away she may have beaten them during
this one incident it was said that she beat a prisoner on conscious another witness claimed that she did attend selections and forced prisoners to stand at roll call for up to three or four hours and in one account stated that to escape two young girls jumped out of a window at aitz and whilst they lay on the ground injured graer shot them dead the reports of her crimes shocked the courtroom and many were shocked how a young girl could take their lives so willingly of other people despite being in her early 20s as mentioned she was captured at
Bergen bellson and at trial was sentenced to death for her crimes she was hanged at Hamlin prison by British executioner Albert peero and it was said of her execution we climbed the stairs to the cells where The Condemned were waiting a German officer at the door leading to the corridor flung open the door and we fed past the r faces and into the execution chamber the officers stood at attention Brigadier Patton Walsh stood with his wrist w watch raised he gave me the signal and a s release breath was audible in the
chamber I walked into the corridor herma Grazer ey called the German guards quickly crosed all grills on 12 of the inspection holes and opened one door Irma Grazer stepped out the cell was far too small for me to go inside and I had to pinion her in the corridor follow me I said in English and O’Neal repeated the order in Germa
n at 9:3 400 a.m. she walked into the execution chamber gazed for a moment at the official standing around then walked on into the center of the Trap where I’d made a chalk Mark she stood on this Mark very firmly and as I placed a white cap over her head she said in a languid voice Schnell the drop crashed down then the doctor followed me into the pit and pronounced her dead after 20 minutes the body was taken down and placed in a coffin ready for burial the crimes of M grar were incredibly shocking when she was executed she was just 22 which meant that her crimes were
committed when she was around the age of 20 she had a very different life to those of that age in the modern world but remember that it was a life she greatly wanted graer wanted to become a concentration camp guard and took great pleasure in the execution of prisoners and their ill treatment this shows us a despicable person that she really was the crimes of herma graer are endless and today many of them remain Untold Elizabeth fenra worked before joining the SS as a hairdresser but she became inspired with the Nazi Party
politics and policies and because of this she signed up to the SS retinue at the beginning of October 1941 she was sent to ravensbrook concentration camp an all female camp where many of the worst female Camp guards were taught by other sadistic guards Vulcan studied there and worked under D bins a violent guard herself she trained to become an AF serin and was in charge of making sure that prisoners did not Escape but Vulcan ra dreamed of working in a larger camp and in March 1942 she applied for a transfer to
aitz around this time the persecution against the Jews was heightened and mass deportations took place and with this more workers were needed at aitz which would become the deadliest sight of the Holocaust with over 1 million people being murdered there Vulcan became a guard at the camp inside of the prisoner’s Taylor shop and within a few months worked in the women’s camp at ashz to burken now Buren now became the main extermination and killing part of the camp and it was within here that she worked despite getting typhus she was
then transferred into the parcel post office at birkenau where she monitored 30 prisoners who would inspect packages coming into the camp she was was given a huge number of other duties including handing out bread but she stayed at aitz until she was later transferred out in terms of her crimes vcar was accused of a large number of terrible and violent actions she was accused of taking part in the selections as prisoners arrived at aitz Vulcan would walk through the new arrivals and those who were deemed not fit enough to work were sent to
their deaths immediately at the gas Chambers she would choose many inmates to be killed was even accused of helping to load prisoners onto lorries and transports which would then take the prisoners to the gas Chambers she would drive prisoners onto them and she claimed she did not know where the lorries were going but she knew exactly what she was doing she ended up becoming the superintendent of the women’s camp and stayed in that role until aitz was evacuated there were many more reports of vulcan’s sistic side and it was said
that she beat many prisoners brutally she admitted that she did slap a number of women in the face while she worked as a guard but one woman Vera Fisher testified at her trial that she was beaten so badly by Vulcan ra that she was forced to stay in hospital for 3 weeks on around 80 occasions she was seen beating women prisoners sometimes to death with her trenin and many of these women were knocked unconscious another woman Helen hovitz claimed at Vulcan Ra’s trial that she was questioned about a locket and a ring
that she was wearing and that she was sent to Vulcan Raff here she was beaten with the rubber trunin was then placed in a Cellar and was given bread and water every 3 days being punished she was then forced to work in the toilets and whilst here she caught typhus and then almost died more stories of vulcan’s brutality emerged and she was shockingly accused of throwing an old woman down a flight of stairs near to a workshop it was said this woman died immediately she was known for taking food and water from prisoners leaving them with nothing to
survive and live on she also forced prisoners to make sport which is where she forced them to exercise constantly in a form of punishment that was so severe that many of the prisoners died from exhaustion she claimed at her trial that she saw slapping women in the face as necessary at times and that she had not been involved in the selections she claimed she did not know the doctors were selecting people to go to their deaths during the process but evidence against this was put forward it was said that a many times she sent
people to the gas Chambers Vulcan R was accused of striking a woman so hard that she was out cold and that wongo who was sick was caught stealing vegetables Vulcan then forced her to kneel down and hold the stolen goods above her head for 4 hours until she could not hold her arms up any longer then she beat her so badly with her rubber trenin she was knocked out and she instructed that no one was to help the girl until night set in she was was transferred to Bergen bellson after alitz was closed and she remained as a supervising wardress there
until she was arrested by the British liberators at bellson she was for her crime sentenced to death at the bson trials was then executed by hanging at Hamlin prison with Albert peerpoint being the Executioner at the age of 26 Elizabeth fulcra was sentenced to death and killed but what is disturbing is the fact that many of her crimes were committed when she was younger at around the age of 22 when she first worked in a concentration camp she was a violent and brutal woman who gained a sadistic reputation for
beating prisoners often too deaf she seemed like a woman who wished to wield horrific power over innocent and vulnerable people the crimes of Elizabeth falkenrath were many and today a number of them remain Untold Johanna Borman joined the auxiliary SS shortly before the start of the second world war in 1938 around the age of 45 she claimed that she joined the SS initially that she knew she could a money inside of the evil regime than a normal civilian job would pay and she began to work inside of a kitchen however she first came into a
concentration camp the lenberg Concentration Camp found in Saxony this camp in particular was one of the first to be constructed by the Nazis and had been opened by the SS in 1933 and it held in its most busy period over 2,000 prisoners but then as time went on it transitioned to become a women’s prison this specific camp closed when the women were transferred to the newly opened ravensbrook concentration camp a specialist camp for women bourman went there with these prisoners to the new camp and ravensbrook was seen as a
brutal place where many female concentration camp guards would learn their violent craft they were scored by evil Gods such as Maria Mandel and most of the female guards went through Ravens Brook’s Gates and learned how to treat prisoners cruy and barbarically they were scoring how to effectively beat prisoners into submission and bourman would use what she learned to carry out horrific acts of Cruelty whilst that ravensbrook she ever saw a work crew there but in March 1942 She was transferred along with a number of other women to move to the
rapidly expanding aitz in occupied Poland aitz would become the largest killing site of the Holocaust and as it expanded to take more inmates and ultimately prisoners who would be killed there was also a need for staff to travel across Johanna Borman was there would be vicious and she was known for her small size but for her evil treatment also of prisoners she was nicknamed the weasel or the woman with the dogs and she would use her dog viciously on victims at her trial she was asked several questions which
related to her having an animal inside of the camp she was asked a large number of witnesses have said they remember seeing you with a dog did you have one she responded Yes I brought him with me she lent her dog to other guards who took him hunting but the real Bloodshed regarding the animal occurred inside of aitz with Borman holding the lead two witnesses claimed that they saw her dog attacking a woman and that Borman boasted to a number of SS men after she encouraged the dog to attack the prisoners in another account by Mrs Vera
Fisher she said that bourman was in charge of women prisoners outside of the camp and that she set her large dog onto them if they became weak and refused to work properly she even went further saying that a number of women prisoners were attacked by borman’s dog and they were actually taken to the hospital and died of blood poisoning from infection and the fact they were denied proper Medical Care also a number of women who were injured by the dog were sent straight to the gas Chambers Borman denied this but the
accusations continued eleny Helena Kofa said that inside of aitz Borman was the most hated person at the camp and while she oversaw the clothing store she encouraged her dog to attack prisoners on one instance Borman noted a prisoner taking something and she grabbed her by her hair threw her to the ground and then let her dog bite her which caused an injury so great that there was a huge pool of blood a doctor then arrived to examine her and there was no movement and the woman was then taken straight to the the
gas Chambers and killed the dog also attacked a woman so badly that she was sent to hospital where she stayed for 6 weeks borman’s violent streak was also on display without the dog she was known for striking women and other prisoners very hard one woman Dora silverberg recalled at trial how Borman struck a woman who felt so sick she could not walk to the work site when she got there she sat down as she was weak and Borman hit her across the face so hard that she knocked out two teeth then ordered the dog to attack this woman who had been
bitten severely was then taken to the infirmary where she died Borman claimed at trial that there were other women in aitz who had dogs but denied all allegations against her but the allegations continued she was seen beating prisoners for wearing good clothes then forced them to undress and then participate in brutal strenuous exercises and she admitted to striking the faces of female prisoners who did not listen another accusation that emerged against Johanna Borman was that she was present at a number of the selections as
prisoners went to aits they would go through selection those fit enough to work were allowed to be admitted into the camp but those who were considered too weak were sent straight to their deaths in the gas Chambers Borman was present at selections and regularly played God with people’s lives deciding if they lived or died during her cross-examination it also emerged that the guards at aitz were treating the pigs better than the prisoners giving them adequate food when the Jewish prisoners inside the camp were starving
as the war went on Borman was transferred to booty a nearby sub camp near aitz where she continued to be incredibly violent to prisoners however as the war was turning against the Germans She was transferred a number of times in 1944 she was sent to keep order at an auxiliary camp at Hindenburg before in January 1945 being sent back to ravensbrook however she was then Center B and bellson where she would serve under the Beast of bellson Yosef Kar bson as a camp swelled in its numbers massively towards the end of the second World War
as huge numbers of prisoners were transferred there the camp could not cope with the massive amount of prisoners being sent and because of this there was huge strain on resources there was very little food if any and the sanitation in the camp was non-existent to the point where disease was around every corner the dead bodies stacked up in side of bson when the British army liberated it on the 15th of April 1945 they found over 10,000 unburied corpses and 60,000 survivors many who were disease ridden and close to death inside
the camp during Liberation were a number of ss staff including johannna Borman who did not flee the authorities but instead remained to ensure Law and Order was maintained she along with other SS personnel and the female guards were forced to carry the Dead and bury them in Mass Graves as they were seen as the ones who caused the depravity Johanna Borman was sentenced to death at the bellson trials for her role in the mass murder and evil of the Holocaust it was clear she was very dangerous and a very violent woman with
sadistic tendencies that would come to fruition very often her executioner Albert peerpoint wrote of her that she limped down the corridor looking old and Haggard she was 52 years old standing only a little over 5T she was trembling as she was put on the scales and in German she said I have my feelings she went to The Gallows a war criminal and was hanged alongside other gods such as her M graer and Elizabeth Vulcan rth but what is different about Johanna Borman is the fact she was much older than these too like so many she had been
indoctrinated against the Jews by Hitler’s policies and for a woman who initially claimed she worked for the SS as she could earn more money she showed her true colors Johanna borman’s crimes at aitz Bergen son and ravensbrook were huge in their numbers and Incredibly barbaric and today many of her crimes remain Untold ilsa Forster was born on the 2nd of September 1922 in Silesia and during the second world war she worked inside of a factory but as the conflict was turning against the Germans following the Normandy invasions and the Battle of
Stalingrad more soldiers were drafted to the front lines many concentration camps staff were sent to fight the allies and this left a shortage of workers inside of places such as aitz and Bergen bellson the Germans drafted scores of women into the Concentration Camp system and ilsa Forster went into the SS and was sent to a labor camp at langum bilow whilst here she was given a course of six weeks training as a guard and then she went back to the factory at grunberg where she was working but she then took over Camp duties at a site close to the
factory she worked here until the end of January 1945 then accompanied the prisoners on a death march to Reuben which took 5 days then she went with the prisoners toward wsbg and bson where she arrived on the 17th of February 1945 after she reached the camp Ila forer worked inside of the bath house and then the kitchens in the men’s compound and she worked to make sure that all work was completed ilsa also was placed in charge of ensuring that no prisoners stole from the kitchen Bergen bson at this time was in a state of
depravity as thousands of prisoners were dying each week from diseases such as typhus which were running riots through the camp also there was a severe lack of food and many prisoners were dying from malnourishment and things became very desperate especially when thousands of prisoners arrived at bellson and it became very overcrowded forer said how there were around 60 female prisoners cooking for other prisoners and when she arrived there there were very few female guards she claimed that she worked 20h hour
days initially and then worked 10hour shifts a few weeks later she stated that prisoners inside of the kitchens were given sufficient food and claimed that the problem with food was that bellson was being supplied with hardly any and none was being sent she said that she did try to get more food for the prisoners and did mention that they did get an additional Supply claiming that prisoners who worked in the kitchen could eat as much as they wanted whilst others were starving many of forer’s crimes revolve around
how she treated those prisoners who tried to take food from the kitchens she admitted that she did beat prisoners with her hands and also with a stick but she said she never carried a rubber trunin forer would go on to say without her work violently attacking prisoners then others would not have eaten however Witnesses would testify about the violence of her attacks one witness claimed that she would beat prisoners with a fixed stick and that some of them were beaten so badly that they were knocked out and she
continued to beat them whil unconscious with these being left on the floor forcer denied this but more allegations emerged she was accused of dragging prisoners away from the kitchens into a side room where she then administered terrifying beatings another allegation said that two or three times a day women were being taken into the small office next to the kitchen where forc laid into them with a rubber Tron or a weapon shockingly even of guards who worked at bellson would testify about Elsa forer’s violent beatings Herer elhart claimed that along
with another guard forer would beat prisoners to an unreasonable extent but she did not speak to her about this Behavior even though elhart did come to speak to her about how things were going inside of the kitchens forer would face allegations that she even admitted to her for elhart that she was excited about the fact she caught some prisoners stealing sugar and was proud of the fact she gave them a good be in another witness testified an identified forer for being a murderer and a woman who with her bare hands beat a young girl to
death prisoners would continue to complain about Elsa forer’s violence inside the cook house and she was also accused of carrying a rubber hose which she beat prisoners with further interrogation at her trial took place about her actions and specifically about how violent she was towards others claims continued that Elsa forer was a murderer and it was alleged that she had killed a Russian girl after beating her to death it was said that she also seemed proud of this and she admitted she did beat this girl but then was found out at
trial that she did beat her so badly that she did not come into work the next day it seems that her trial that Forster was being exposed for her lies but the judges had a rather tough decision to make as to what to do with her either sentence her to death or place her in prison and the Bellon trials what led to many of the defendants executions was if they had worked at other camps as well as bson most of those who worked at aitz and also bsum were executed including Elizabeth fulcra and herma graer but what may have saved ilsa Forster is the
fact she came into the Concentration Camp system late in the conflict because of a shortage of Staff it’s clear that she was a brutal guard and was as violent as other Al serin such as graser or Maria Mandel but she had not the chance to work other camps such as aitz where there was mass scale killing there was a huge amount of death at bellson but the majority of prisoners in the final days were killed by the conditions and the diseases much of her sentence was given due to the issues in testimony of others
there was no real concrete proof of Elsa forer’s actions if there was circumstantial proof and evidence of her killing prisoners then she would have definitely been sentenced to death it was clear she was violent and a brute but the extent that she injured prisoners would not be established with this Elsa forer was sentenced to a period of 10 years imprisonment alongside other gods such as heur BofA Irene hashar and Anna hemple however fora would never spend the full 10 years in prison as on the 21st of December 1951 she was released
from her incarceration after spending just around 6 years behind bars today it’s not known what happened to Al forer after she was released and there are no accounts as to what happened to her after this it’s not known whether she has died or whether she’s still alive but when she went into the Concentration Camp system she was in her early 20s this makes it more likely that she has passed away despite being imprisoned for her crimes what saved her ultimately is the fact there was no concrete proof about if she did commit
murder and kill female prisoners it was certain though that even with a stick a rubber Tron or a weapon the Elsa forer was a brutal SS God who struck fear into the hearts of prisoners thanks for watching to support our Channel please make sure to subscribe and once again thank you so much for watching
