Zoe Ball Opens Up on Daughter Nelly Moving In with Fatboy Slim – House ‘So Quiet’ Without Her

Zoe Ball has revealed that her 16-year-old daughter, Nelly, is now living permanently with her ex-husband Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim. The podcaster, 55, admitted on the latest episode of Jo Whiley and Zoe’s Dig It podcast that her house has become “so quiet” since Nelly moved in.Zoe Ball, 55, has revealed that her daughter has moved in with her husband Fatboy Slim as she confessed her house is now 'so quiet'

“Mine’s so quiet, it’s like ugh! It’s less and less because Nel is based more at her dad’s now because I think she’s got to that point of, ‘Ah, can I just be in one place?’” Zoe explained. With all of Nelly’s schoolwork set up at Norman’s home, the move has been made easier by their close proximity, allowing Zoe to step in whenever needed.

Zoe contrasted her quieter home with co-host Jo’s bustling household, reflecting on the challenges of co-parenting while maintaining her private life. The presenter also opened up about the difficulties of introducing new partners to her children. She has been dating BAFTA-winning production designer Mathieu Weekes, 49, for over a year, seven years after splitting from Norman.

“Introducing new partners is a tricky one,” Zoe admitted. “You just have to go with the feeling… The right person will respect your relationship with your kids, and with your ex.” She emphasised that past experiences taught her the importance of patience and timing.

Zoe also reflected on the emotional toll of leaving her 17-year marriage with Norman. “It is so hard to leave a relationship when you know it’s the right thing to do… You feel awful for the person you’ve left, guilty for your kids. It is a lot. And it does take such bravery.”The podcaster still has a close friendship with Norman, AKA Fatboy Slim, and the two co-parent their children Woody, 25, and Nelly, 16

Despite the quieter home, Zoe continues to enjoy her life and relationships while maintaining a close friendship with Norman. Together, they co-parent their children Woody, 25, and Nelly, 16, showing that amicable separation and respect are possible even after years together.
